music: How To Create Rap Beats

When it comes to learning how to make rap beats, whether you are brand new to the genre or a pro, you need to have a few things in line when you begin. Making new beats is a time consuming and tedious process, but it is going to allow you to create pieces you really love, and distinct sounds you are proud of. When you are just getting started, you need access to the right equipment, software, beat makers, and other professional grade items, so that you can put it all together, no matter what sound you are going to create.
When you choose software, go for a product that has high sounding beats capabilities;
you want to be able to hear the sound, and do not want it to be blocked out by interference. If you are not using the right software, your time and effort is going to go to waste. So, take the time to find something that is going to help you create, and can bring the pieces together. You also want to pick something with an easy to use interface. You do not want to waste several hours just trying to figure out what buttons to push. Find something with a simple format, and easy to follow instructions; it will take the guesswork out of the process, and it is going to allow you to use your time as productively as possible as well. Sonic Producer is a great product to consider.
Once the software is in place, start with the lyrics. It is easier to build around words; but, if you are not focusing on vocals, you do not have to worry about this step in the process. A solid drum line and base should come next. These lay down a foundation for the beats, and will give you something concrete to put together, when you are working your way up. With rap, a strong beat is a must, so you have to keep this as a focal point when working on these distinct aspects.
A melody or instrumental piece should be created next. It will help bring the entire piece together, and will help you create a sound that is going to be able to stand on its own, and will work well with the lyrics that you have composed for the piece, or will use for the sounds you are putting together. You also have to keep balance in mind. When working with more than one instrument, sound quality, pace, and balance all have to come together; so, make sure each of these pieces works in well, as you are putting the piece together. Don't use a fast melody for a slow track as a general rule, it will throw off the entire piece.
When working on rap beats, pick up a great piece of software, and something that is simple for you to use and understand, so you can get the process underway, and create great rap beats for your lyrical pieces.
